Spark::red and Mr Price Sport – via Mr Price Group’s RedCap Foundation – are sponsoring two novice extreme athletes to compete in the Salomon Skyrun to help raise funds that will be utilized to improve the living conditions of orphans in Sinakekele Place of Safety in South Africa.

The Salomon Skyrun is an annual ultra distance trail race, starting in the town of Lady Grey in South Africa and traversing about 100km’s of remote trail running through the Witteberg Mountains that extends towards the Wartrail Country Club. This year’s Salomon Skyrun will take place on November 15th, 2013. All proceeds from the Red Cap Foundation initiative will be used to rebuild an old orphanage, start a pre-school and build a playing field for children living in Sinakekele Place of Safety and the surrounding community.

“Making a positive difference in the lives of these orphan children would not be possible without the support and participation of suppliers and partners of the Mr Price Group, such as Spark::red.”

– Donovan Baney, an employee of Mr Price and one of the Sky Run participants.
